Professional, personal, human.
At STIFTUNG HAUS SEEFAHRT, students of nautical degree programmes can expect more than a tradition with a great history: a dedicated network, genuine solidarity and concrete support on the way to a responsible future in merchant shipping.

Anyone who joins HAUS SEEFAHRT becomes part of a long-established community of active and former captains, shipowners’ representatives and merchants. This network offers not only valuable insights into maritime practice, but also real connections. Personal, approachable, committed.
As part of their nautical studies, students are required to earn so-called Social Credit Points. STIFTUNG HAUS SEEFAHRT offers students the opportunity to get actively involved – for example in the foundation’s projects, at events or in everyday life at the Seefahrtshof.
This engagement is not only valued in spirit, but also formally recognised: through cooperation with various universities, the work completed can be credited as “Social Credit Points” towards the degree. The result is a learning environment in which social responsibility and professional development go hand in hand.

Students accepted by HAUS SEEFAHRT have the opportunity, depending on need and availability, to live at the Seefahrtshof – a place steeped in history with modern living comfort. This creates not only a safe and central home base during their studies, but also a place for encounters, exchange and short distances.
The foundation supports young people who are committed and who pursue their path to sea with a sense of responsibility. This includes awarding scholarships – financial support that gives encouragement, provides a tailwind and recognises achievement.
Are you interested in a seafaring membership in STIFTUNG HAUS SEEFAHRT? Then, as a student of nautical science, you benefit from particularly favourable terms. We look forward to hearing from you:
